The town of Mittenwald is 15 minutes away from Seefeld just at the foot of the Karwendel Mountains. As a first stop after crossing the border to Bavaria the historic town boasts with a picturesque town center, which is probably unique in its kind. The historic paintings on many houses of the pedestrian zone, the Catholic Parish Church of St. Paul which was built in 1740, and the violin-making museum are the highlights to be discovered in the village. Many shops selling local handicrafts invite you to browse, typical Bavarian Inns serve original veal sausages with sweet mustard - best known from the famous "Oktoberfest" in Munich.
